PURPOSE: The Simboli Family College Award is designed to assist deserving Chelsea High School students with the incidental expenses of a college or further education. It is meant to act as a bridge between tuition assistance and a student's resources to make the transition for the student and his/her family a little easier. It recognizes that there are many non-tuition based expenses such as computers, software, clothing, supplies, on or off campus living that are expensive and important to a student feeling like they can handle all of the new challenges both academic and social. The award monies are meant to address such needs.

PROCESS: Application will be available in February 2008. A Board will select the students by May 31st. You can access the applications at acsdevelopment.com; your guidance counselor's office at Chelsea High School or by calling 617-889-0900.

AWARD AMOUNT: Award amounts will be $2,000.00 per student. Up to 10-15 students annually will be receive awards.

CRITERIA: Students will be selected based on merit, need, and the quality of the application.
