ACS was founded by Anthony C. Simboli, whose career started early. He bought his first newspaper stand at the age of 9. At 21 he graduated from Boston College with his Masters and joined the CIA. He owned and developed a chain of supersized drugstores and transitioned into owning a chain of convenient stores with 400 employees. This eventually transformed into a highly successful real estate development company.

Focusing only on assets within its portfolio or to be added to its portfolio, there are no conflicts of interest. As a privately held company, decisions are made swiftly and responsiveness is lightening fast. ACS Development Corporation specializes in downtown retail properties in and around the City of Boston, as well as north and west of the city. It balances its portfolio with office and industrial properties.

A snapshot of our past projects includes the ground-up construction of a 108,000 s.f. office building; the adaptive re-use of a former Boston school and public library into luxury condominiums; and, the conversion of a bowling alley into a retail and service shopping center.

Our tenants range in size from 800 s.f. to 70,000 s.f., and include national retailers, large non-profits, state and federal agencies, and privately owned retail and service businesses.
